We’ve just found out that Ray Smith’s cover for Fah Thai Magazine has been given not one but two awards making it the publisher’s most successful issue ever!
Pause for a moment to steal a second glance at his roaring tiger and you’ll find flora, fauna, birds, butterflies, boat men and even crocodiles but not a single wild cat. We asked Ray how he came up with his winning idea:
“the story focused on the the Bengal Tigers of India and the wildlife as well as the people around them, I wanted my illustration to encompass all this and allude to the danger and exclusive nature of the animals. It came together pretty organically and I landed up really enjoying drawing it !”
Congratulations Ray - we think it’s a magazine masterpiece!
